FMC Engineering UK Limited is committed to continuous improvement in terms of the impact its activities have on the environment. FMC Engineering will make every effort to create a better environment through encouraged sustainable business practices and through the services it and its employees and contractors provide.

Additionally, FMC Engineering will continue to document, implement and maintain an appropriately scaled integrated environmental management system that endeavours to:

• - Reduce waste in all aspects of its business by using available and /or new sustainable technologies which minimise energy and materials consumption.
• - Increase employee awareness and understanding of the part they play in the achievement of environmental goals through effective behaviour, training and communication.
• - Improve suppliers’ awareness of this policy and encourage they adopt similar practises and values and, also use the practises and values of this policy as part of the selection criteria for new suppliers where appropriate.
• - Prevent pollution and environmental incidents through competence, proper execution planning, proper equipment /tooling selection and robust risk management.
• - Comply with all legislation [relevant local and UK wide] and other requirements, including:
• a. the Environmental Protection Act (EPA) 1990
• b. the Climate Change Act 2008
• c. the Waste (England & Wales) Regulations 2012
• d. the Energy Act 2016
• e. Agree environmental objectives and targets and review these at regular intervals.

The Company recognises that maintaining a high standard of environmental management and sustainability generally not only provides legal assurance, but it also demonstrates the Company’s ethical values and its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.

Responsibility is placed on the Company Directors to implement the environmental management system and ensure compliance. The HSEQ Consultant shall ensure the management system is regularly reviewed for effectiveness, updated for improvement, and audited for compliance.
